Progress!!

I made it to a 2! They stripped my membranes, and if nothing happens by Monday, I'm kicking him out! :) (they're inducing me)

In the meantime You've got to check out the newest Jon Schmidt song. He's so amazing, and I'm one of his biggest fans. I usually buy his stuff the first day it's released, and I'm a member of his fan club. Honestly need I say more? The man is inspired!

Nothing Yet...

Nothing yet. I went in to the doctor on friday and he's dropped a tiny bit. In his words "He was in canada last week, and this week he just crossed the border into Montana."
I go back again tomorrow and if nothing happens by Sunday, they told me to go to the hospital and they'll keep me there until he comes one way or the other. I go to the doctor again tomorrow so hopefully we'll get good news and I'll have progressed.

Go Miss California!

I didn't watch the Miss USA Pagent, but I just saw an interview with Miss California on the Today show. I am so proud of her for standing up for what she believes in and not bending to what many others feel is "right." When asked by Perez Hilton, Judge #8, how she felt about gay marriage and if all states should legalize it like Vermont she said she believes that marriage is between a husband and a wife and that she doesn't support it. He flipped out and has been calling her names all weekend and said that if she had won the title he would have "gotten up on stage and taken the crown from her".
During her interview on the Today show she said that she wouldn't change her answer for the world, and that she wasn't going to sit on the fence on something that requires you to be on one side or the other! Go Miss California!

Quick Update

No Baby yet. Three weeks ago I was dialated to almost a 1 and 70% effaced. Last week dialated to a 1 and still thinned out about the same. This week dialated to a little more than a 1, my cervix has dropped and they were going to strip my membranes but they decided that his head is still too "floaty" like he might flip into a breech position. So they decided to hold off just in case stripping my membranes would send me into a breech labor.
So i'm doing everything I can to get him into position and help my body move this thing along a little bit. I'm hoping for the second part of next week so that I can finish finals stress free. Something tells me he won't be here then though. My induction date is May 6th, I'm hoping that I don't make it that long. :)
I also having some moving day pictures I need to post. I'll do that hopefully this weekend. I got into the Elementary Ed program, and of my 4 classes I only have one final. I've finished all of my other class projects early and just have some finishing touches to put on the last one. So this semester has been really good, and it's such a tender mercy that I will only have one final at the beginning of next week. :)

So that's my quick update. I'll do a better one soon! :)

Queen of...

If any of you have ever wondered what it would be like to know royalty look no further. For each one of you can now rest your minds of what it would be like to have a friend so gloriously royal because I have officially claimed the throne. I am currently sitting on this throne as I work on the now official royal laptop. That's right, you can go and brag that you are all personally acquainted with the Queen of Procrastination.
I know, I know you are so lucky! Have a big paper due? Avoid it until it goes away. Need to finish a major school project? Meh, no need when you can relax and enjoy a good episode of Everybody loves Raymond. Need to clean the house, organize, and pack so you can move in a week? Please...you have a week! That's plenty of time. Or how about this one? have a baby coming in the next 6 weeks? Don't think about it. Things will just magically fall into place if you just pretend like it's never going to be here. So now all of you have the queen's permission to put of all of your responsibilities until the last minute. The queen has declared it.

So it's true. I have a huge project to complete, a good size research paper to write, cleaning, packing, and moving to do, all by next week and oh yeah, a baby on the way and what am I doing right now? Lounging on my couch, posting on my blog, and watching Everybody Loves Raymond...anything to avoid the homework and actual work right? lol. I'll be honest, I haven't even started my research yet for the paper. At least I've finished my field work for my elementary classes...now I just have to write the reports on them. Again, maybe if I just pretend like posting on my blog is the most important thing I have to do right now I'll feel better about not doing my homework. And since I'm out of things to say, still don't want to do my homework, and now have a husband who has gone to bed without me because he thinks I'm working on homework...I think I'll post this and go to bed...maybe I'll feel like not procrastinating tomorrow...or maybe the next day...or maybe next week...

I don't know why...

Chris and I have decided that Heavenly Father must be expecting A LOT from us because He truly has blessed us with more than we ever imagined! Sometimes it feels like we're never going to be able to repay Him even for what He's given us so far. We both have secure jobs, we're able to go to school, we have the promise of being together forever, and of course we feel so blessed to be adding to our little family and that things are going well in the pregnancy. And now, He's blessed us to be able to afford to buy a house. We got the good news on Tuesday that the bank accepted our offer and that we now will get a place of our own! Really the timing couldn't be better because after two years of extrememly quite neighbors, a new neighbor moved in who has a drum set and plays all day until about 11:30pm, which wouldn't be that bad...if he weren't a beginner...practice makes perfect right? Anwyay, we have jsut been in awe at the blessings that we have received and how much He has guided our lives. We're ready and willing to do whatever He needs us to. Where much is given...right? :)
We are absolutly thrilled and can't wait until we get to move in. We are closing on March 26th. I can hardly wait. Our little apartment that we have now has been wonderful for us, and we really have loved living there and have so many wonderful memories! But with Boston coming we are running out of room, and just need a little more space. We weren't planning on buying a house for another couple years, but things have just fallen into place for us so we decided to try. We spend hundreds of hours looking at Town houses and houses all over Utah County. We found a house in Lehi, and put in an offer...and thank heavens we were outbid. I'm so glad we didn't get that house. A few days later we found a house in an amazing neighborhood in Saratoga Springs and we put in an offer on that one...we still haven't heard anything back. lol. We were frustrated and so tired of looking, and then Chris found a house a street away from the one we were waiting to hear back from. I was working, so he went with a couple friends to check it out. When he got home that night he told me that if I were out of the country he would feel great about making an offer. He said it was his favorite house out of everything we'd seen...and we'd seen a lot of houses.
We went back the next week to see if we could see it, but the family is still living there. So we knocked on the door and pretended like we were looking in the neighborhood for a house and just wanted to get some of the neighbors opinions on how they liked the area. We talked with the guy for a while, and he let us in for a minute to give us his realator's card who was selling their house. So I got to take a really quick peek at the main floor...but other than that all I've seen are the pictures online. lol. Chris has good taste so if he says I would love it, then I believe him. lol. I'm just happy that everything has worked out so well! I'm so EXCITED!

Valentines Day

This Valentines day was really nice, different, but nice.
Around 4:00 am I woke up and could not go back to sleep. After a pointless hour of trying I decided to just get and start my day. After takeing a shower and getting mostly ready I started to make Chris breakfast. He had said that he had never had breakfast in bed before, and since he's impossible to shop for food is usually the best thing you can get him. lol. While I was cooking in the kitchen his breakfast surprise he came walking sleepily downstairs. He said he couldnm't sleep anymore without me, so he laid down on the couch and just hung out with me while I cooked. I sent Chris back upstairs when his valentines day breakfast was ready. I made french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and had a bowl of fresh fruit all ready to go on our new breakfast tray. We made it through breakfast without spilling almost anything.

We left to Salt Lake around 8am for my cousin Christy's Wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony, and Christy and James are so perfect for each other. They were sealed by Elder Scott, and it was cute, after giving them some advice he asked "do you have any questions of me?" The look on their faces was priceless. I mean what would you ask if you had the opportunity to ask an apostle of the Lord anything you wanted. lol. After the ceremony we all stood outside in the snow taking family pictures for what felt like an hour. I made the bad decision of wearing open toed high heels. Needless to say my feet were freezing and killing me. Because they had their reception the night before we were finished and home by 4pm. We both weren't feeling very good so we went to bed and slept until 7pm. We considered going out but didn't feel like waiting forever for a table. So we went to the mall, got some flamming wok and an orange Julius, went home and watched the all star slam dunk contest.

So that was our Valentines day. it was really low key, but exactly what we wanted.

The Best Two Years

Today is our two year anniversary. I couldn't let it pass by without saying it really has been the best two years of my life! Chris is such a blessing in my life. He is so patient when I'm not, he can always make me laugh, and he knows when all I need is a hug and 15 minutes with him. Heavenly Father really blessed me when he brought Chris into my life. I love you der!

So long....in so many ways.

I'm sorry that it's been so long since I've made a post. I've been waiting for Chris to put pictures on the computer of our Christmas so that you could see what we've been up to...but we can't find the chord or whatever it is that we need (obviously I'm not the one who does it).
Chris and I both planned to have 2 weeks off at Christmas just to unwined from the semester. So no work and no school was a great Christmas present for us. We spent most of the time house hunting. The first day or two was fun...then it was stressfull, exhausting, and then gradually went to discouraging...then back to exciting. lol. If you've been house hunting you probably know what I mean.
We spent a lot of time with our families, which was so nice. During the school year they are so neglected. For the last two Christmas Eves we've spent the night with Chris's family so that we could get up with all of the little kids and open presents. This year we wanted to sleep in our own bed, and sleep in. However at 5:00am we both woke up and couldn't sleep any more. We got up, turned on some christmas music, and Chris started to put together my christmas present while I made breakfast. I was going to get a camera for christmas, but I decided that I wanted a rocking chair instead. (We got a great deal on the chair too. Normally it's $300 but on black friday it was $150.) For breakfast I made two kinds of crepes. Banana and nutella, and strawberries and cream. They were really good but way too sweet for breakfast, maybe for a fun dessert. After making ourselves sick after breakfast, we opened presents. Chris got a brand new bag for school that will hold his laptop, a nice sweater, and one of those plaid hats that have the things that cover your ears. His favorite feature of it was that it came with a bottle opener. lol. He said that he'll wear it when he takes our kids sledding so that they'll be embarressed. lol. He wore it all day on christmas. I'll try to get a picture of that on here.
We went to our parents houses afterwards and got rubber car mats, baby toys and books, a crib mattress, and our first little baby sweater. Chris loved the sweater because it was a batman sweater that lights up when you move. Chris loves batman. He got the dark night for christmas and has already watched it multiple times.
our Christmas was wonderful I could go on about it forever, but I won't.
I'm going to shorten the story of our house hunt. We found a house in Lehi and put in an offer, but somebody else got it. We found a forclosed house in Saratoga Springs and put in an offer on that, and we still haven't heard anything. We found a house one street away from house #2 and Chris fell in love. He saw the house with out me because I was at bridal showers and baby showers all day long. I haven't seen the whole house, but I've seen some pictures, and got to see the inside from the front porch. The house is a short sale. We put in an offer and the sellers accepted it, but now we are waiting for the bank to approve the offer. That's the really short version. Here are some pics of the potential house....

And here is a picture of Chris and I at a friends wedding a couple months before we got married. I can't believe it will be two years on Tuesday!

Conversation with the Doctor...

"Hi guys, so you're baby was being stubborn last time? Are you ready to try it again?"

"Definitely!"

I jump up on the table and lay down while the doctor sprays that warm jelly on my tummy. As he's doing this I think to myself -I really hope those four glasses of juice I drank before I came here help this baby to move around so we can see this time-

The doctor slides that thing up my stomach since the babies head is down and says...

"It's definitely a boy!"

"Are you sure?" I say.

"Oh, I'm sure. I'm not just sensing the testosterone levels here....there can you see it?"

"Wow, so it's a boy."

"Congratulations!"

So there you go everybody! It's a boy! We are so thrilled! Merry Christmas to us!

Forever!!!
